I don't want to be trendy in this fast moving world, I don't want to only post things which is audience consumable, rather I would choose to be old school and slow. I am big big fan of the old school nostalgic things and when it comes to the art, I don't want to lose the roots of it.
There is something about slowing down, about not knowing instantly how the frame turned out. About trusting light. About trusting moments. About trusting love. About choosing grain over gloss. And finally, about choosing moments over metrics.
When Anusha & Varun first approached Knots for their wedding shoot, the best part about our entire call was how beautifully old school they are, not just in aesthetics, but in love. From school corridors to wedding pheras. From passing notes to building a life together. The kind of love that didn't need trends. It just needed time.
And I remember telling them, "What if we shoot your wedding on a negative camera?"
Not digital, Not instant, But films. The kind you wait for. The kind that carry grain, texture. Imperfections that feel human, prints that won't fade with algorithms.
They trusted me.
There's something magical about shooting weddings on film. You don't overshoot, you observe more, you breathe with the moment. Every click feels intentional, every frame feels earned.
I am always secretly looking for opportunities to convince couples to say yes to negative photographs. So that my camera doesn't just step out for nature walks or architectural streets, but also gets to witness love the old way. Patiently. Honestly. Poetically.
Sharing a few scanned frames from Anusha & Varun's wedding, moments that lived first in real time, then on film, and now here.
Grainy, Honest, Timeless.
Cheers to them for building a life that will age just as gracetully as these negatives. Some stories deserve to be captured slowly
