Last year, a memorable meeting took place at Starbucks, BKC, where Anupam first discussed wedding photography in Mumbai with Raghav and Shreya. They were in the midst of planning their Gujarati Marwari wedding and had a clear vision of perfection for their big day. Both Raghav and Shreya had distinct tastes and were particularly impressed with our recent work. The love story that blossomed in their college years was evident in their comfort and ease with each other, which they wanted to celebrate at a single, stunning location.

Wedding Celebrations and Ceremonies

The wedding festivities extended over two full days, each marked by traditional rituals and vibrant celebrations. The first day included the Mehandi ceremony, an essential pre-wedding event where beautiful henna designs were applied to the bride’s hands and feet. This was followed by innovative Haldi function ideas on the second day, starting the morning with vibrant turmeric pastes being playfully applied to both bride and groom, a ritual believed to bring good luck.

Unforgettable Pool Party Wedding

One of the highlights was the afternoon pool party wedding, where guests enjoyed splashing around and celebrating in a uniquely festive atmosphere. Our team captured joyful moments and the playful spirit of the celebration, ensuring every splash and smile was immortalized through our lenses. After the pool fun, the excitement built up to the baraat, which commenced at 5 PM. Shreya could feel the joyous uproar of the baraat as friends relayed its progress while she prepared for the evening.

Capturing Moments: Wedding Photography in Mumbai

As the jaimaal took place on stage against a backdrop of pyrotechnics, we captured the perfect blend of emotion and spectacle under the natural evening light. The transition to an open sky mandap for the wedding ceremonies allowed us to creatively use off-camera flashes triggered via Bluetooth, ensuring beautifully lit photographs despite the dim lighting conditions.

Throughout these eventful days at The Retreat Madh Island, our preparation and expertise in handling various lighting situations shone through. Each photo captured not only the beauty of the setting but also the essence of a vibrant Gujarati Marwari wedding.
