Ruchi & Sandesh's Engagement at Renaissance Powai

Ruchi and Sandesh's engagement was rich in colour and full of feeling. Ruchi wore a red silk saree with heavy gold zari, and Sandesh a matching maroon sherwani. Together they looked like they had stepped out of a painting.

Lakeside portraits before the ceremony

Renaissance Mumbai sits right on Powai Lake, so before the guests arrived we took the couple to the glass-walled terraces and lawns. With the lake and greenery behind them, these calm first portraits set the tone for the evening.

A warm family welcome

The ceremony began with family. Ruchi was welcomed with an aarti, there were blessings from elders, and both families gathered close around the couple. These are the moments we love capturing most: the hands on shoulders, the proud parents, the cousins crowding in for a look.

The rings, and a grand finish

The ring exchange took place on a stage of gold and red, followed by a grand entry with sparkling pyros and plenty of cheering. The night ended with cake, dancing and Ruchi beaming in every frame.

Thank you, Ruchi and Sandesh, for having us. Planning an engagement in Powai or anywhere in Mumbai? Get in touch.
