More Than a Movie - Riddhi & Dharam’s "Hasee Toh Phasee" Inspired Pre-Wedding

A 10-year journey from school time sweethearts to a soulful 'Ishq Bulaava' through the heart of Mumbai.

They say school-time love is a fleeting thing, but for Riddhi and Dharam, it was just the first chapter of a ten-year-long epic. After a decade of growing up together, sharing dreams, and navigating life side-by-side, it was finally time to capture their "forever" against the backdrop of the city that witnessed it all: Mumbai.

Sunlight and Stone, The Morning Heritage Trail- The day began as the sun started to peek over the Arabian Sea. We met at the iconic Gateway of India. There is something magical about this spot in the early morning the cool breeze, the pigeons taking flight and the quiet dignity of the arches before the city wakes up. From there, we transitioned into the European-esque lanes of Ballard Pier and the timeless architecture of Horniman Circle. With its grand columns and cobblestone vibes, it felt like Riddhi & Dharam were walking through a classic romance novel. We took a quick, cozy break at Otra Cafe, capturing those candid, "just-us" moments over, before heading into the next phase of the day.

The "Ishq Bulaava" Concept, Mumbai After Dark- As the sun set, the mood shifted. For the second half of the shoot, we wanted something raw, real and deeply "Mumbai." Inspired by the song Ishq Bulaava from Hasee Toh Phasee, we went for a concept shoot that felt like a movie montage. We started behind the Air India building at Marine Drive, walking through the streets and letting the city lights serve as our bokeh.

The Lifelines, BEST Buses & Local Trains- To truly capture their 10-year journey, we had to include the lifelines of the city. We hopped onto a moving BEST Bus, capturing Riddhi & Dharam leaning against the windows as the city blurred past. Next came the Mumbai Local. There’s a certain intimacy in the chaos of a train station, and seeing these two sweethearts find a quiet moment in a moving compartment was pure cinematic gold. It wasn't just a shoot; it was a celebration of their everyday love.

The Midnight Finale, Cutting Chai- The night ended in the most authentic Mumbai way possible. No fancy dinners just the two of them on a street corner, sipping hot tea from a cycle tea vendor. In the quiet of the Mumbai night, with the steam rising from their cups and laughter echoing on the pavement, we knew we had captured something special.

Congratulations, Riddhi & Dharam! Here’s to a lifetime of "Ishq Bulaava" moments.
